These are songs I (Alex) have collected over the years. None of them are mine. I've tried to cite sources as best I can, but with the way they're passed around, it's hard to keep track. Many of these songs I learned at the Rising Earth Immersion. Many I learned teaching at The Wild Nature Project. These are imperfect field recordings. Please forgive (and let me know of) any mistakes! These songs are meant to be sung with others and shared! Adapt them and make them your own.

There is food on the table
And trees in the forest There are birds in the sky And a song in my heart So thank you Oh, thank you Yes, thank you For it all (Written by Creature. Shared with us by Alegra-Ray. This was our go-to gratitude song at the Rising Earth Immersion.
I Believe in Being Ready by Rising Appalachia
I believe in being ready I believe in being ready I believe in being ready For the time is drawing near Brothers, sisters please get ready Oh there’ll be signs and wonders We’ll turn round and just start over How in heaven will I find you I believe in being ready Do what must be done
I learned as a child there's two ways to see The world as it is and the way it should be Some people say that's just not my problem Some people do what must be done They see the hole in the fabric that must be sewn They see the way blockaded and they roll back the stone They see the day beyond the horizon And they do what must be done Yeah, they do-do-do what must be done They do what must be done They see the day beyond the horizon And they do what must be done (Shared with us and led here by Dan Flynn)
I am saying thank you
I am saying thank you I am saying thank you Thank you is my practice (Shared with us by Reverend Lynice Pinkard at Earth Church)
How could anyone ever tell you
You are anything less than beautiful How could anyone ever tell you You are less than whole How could anyone fail to notice That you're loving is a miracle How deeply you're connected to my [/our] soul (The community I used to live in--Green Acres Permaculture Village--sings this for birthdays. It's my absolute favorite birthday song. Sung here with Ann Kreilkamp)
People gonna rise like the waters
Shut this system down In the voices of our great-grandmothers Climate justice now (Shared with us by Donovan Zimmerman of Paperhand Puppet Intervention. I will believe the truth about myself
No matter how beautiful it is (Repeat ad infinitum, until you really feel it, then 5 more times... Don't forget the tambourine. Lynice always has her tambourine.) (Shared with us by Reverend Lynice Pinkard at Earth Church)
I'm a wild one
Let the sun shine down and warm my bones Let the birds and the bees come and take my clothes Cause I’m a wild one now made of wind and rain I’m wild and I ain’t going back again Let the moon shine down and cleanse my soul Let the wolves and the owls come and tend my coals Cause I’m a wild one now made of stars and dreams I’m wild and I’m part of everything Let the stars shine down and cleanse my heart Let the beaver and the bear teach me of their art Cause I’m a wild one now made of fat and fish The tending of the wild is my greatest wish The spreading of the wild is my greatest wish The healing of the wild is my greatest wish (Written by Sage (Kathleen) Stanzler) http://singingalive.org/2016/10/20/im-a-wild-one-now/
Come come honey love

Oh god I pray
For you to pave the way Oh god I pray For you to take the reigns Oh god I pray For you to heal the pain Oh god I pray I pray I pray I pray I pray this today (Written by Kaitlin June. Led here by Gareth Dicker.
More Waters Rising
There are more waters rising, This I know, this I know, There are more waters rising, This I know. There are more waters rising – They will find their way to me, There are more waters rising, This I know, this I know, There are more waters rising, This I know. There are more fires burning There are more mountains falling I will wade through the waters I will walk through the fires I will rebuild the mountains I will wade through the waters (Written by Saro Lynch-Thomason. Shared with us here by Dan Flynn.)

On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing [Part 2] She is on her way On her way-ay-ay-ay-ayy -ay-ay-ay She is on her way
We Shall Be Known by Ma Muse
We shall be known by the company we keep By the one's who circle round to tend these fires We shall be known by the one's who sow and reap The seeds of change alive from deep within the Earth It is time now It is time now that we thrive It is time we lead ourselves into the Well It is time now And what a time to be alive In this Great Turning we shall learn to lead in Love In this Great Turning we shall learn to lead in Love
I'm coming home to myself

The one underneath the ground, the one under your skin What if you had more faith and trust in the current And threw away all your doubts and dove right in? And threw away all your doubts and dove right in (Written by Kaitlin June)
