My Feldenkrais practice is neurodivergent-owned, LGBTQ+-owned, and woman-owned, with a focus on creating inclusive, accessible spaces for movement and learning. As a disabled practitioner, I understand the importance of meeting clients where they are and cultivating an environment of trust, curiosity, and empowerment.
[Alex] has helped me deal with some complicated physical issues and given me great insight into managing my neurological pain and working to regain my sensory perception and the use of my body." - Dan

I was amazed by the simple and accessible approach Alex took in her Feldenkrais sessions. I have been healing rheumatoid arthritis for 18.5 years and was amazed to find more comfort and ease in my body after working with Alex. I felt celebrated to come as I was and felt very met in that place, and always looked forward to the next session!" - Alegra-Ray

Alex’s classes are very peaceful and there’s no stress or pressure. That quiet hour each class is itself something I treasure.
I was fortunate in that a frozen shoulder problem I’d had for several months cleared up after a session. I’d been through physical therapy, chiropractic, and even steroid shots with no relief. A simple class with reaching and trying to move in different ways gave me relief by the next day. That’s so cool."- Kim

I'm deeply grateful to have experienced both large group and private lessons led by Alex. As a group facilitator, Alex brings an inspiring level of clarity, curiosity, inclusivity and invitation. With skill and humility, she holds compassionate space for all bodies. One-on-one Alex made me feel comfortable to share vulnerably about my body's conditions and my own inquiries. I was able to relax on a profound level and gained new perspectives about my body and personal story. Alex is overflowing with cultivated gifts, and she applies those gifts skillfully to serve whoever she is working with - I can't wait to work with her again." - Kasey

Testimonials
Alex has such an intelligent and gentle manner about her that it was with full confidence that I put myself in her hands. She helped ease my movement and made me aware of the body’s alignment and how to adjust it. She and Feldenkrais really made a difference." - Susan Alex's guidance allows me to slow down and be mindful of my body. I appreciate how her instruction does not distract from the experience--instead, it enhances it. Every time I have gone thus far, I have gleaned insights about myself. It has challenged me to think about movement and the connection of the mind and body in new ways. I have learned to appreciate my body and my senses more. I have learned to view the world with a "beginner's mind," to observe and take in every experience with more consciousness of how I am holding myself as well as awe for our body's perpetual feedback. Feldenkrais is a practice that is truly understood through experiencing it, and I highly recommend giving it a go!" - Justin After just one session [with Alex], I immediately noticed a positive change and improvement in my posture and the way I move. At one point in particular I remember feeling my entire spine move. It was an entirely new sensation and I couldn't help but smile and laugh as I realized that it is supposed to feel that way...the movement was so easy! I can't wait for my next FI lesson." - James Alex made me more aware of how years in an office environment had affected my posture. I’m sitting up straighter now and feel calmer and more alert, thanks to her FI sessions." - Richard |
Awesome experience ♡ Feldenkrais! For more than a decade my body’s been in pretty immense disrepair. It seems so obvious to me now—having had the opportunity to learn about Feldenkrais from [Alex] who’s quite demonstratively a skilled practitioner—but I’d never thought about repairing that body by mending its relationship with the world that keeps it aloft. The whole of what keeps one standing is a pattern of interactions too often taken for granted, and Feldenkrais can undoubtedly play a pivotal role in re-establishing the lines of flight a body follows on the way to reconciliation and relaxation. It’s a mesmerizing blend of subtlety and mindfulness. I’m sure I’d be in an impossibly different place without it." - Jim The Feldenkrais classes I have attended with Alex have been extremely beneficial. They have helped me be more aware of my body and it's patterns of tension. Alex has been a gracious, compassionate teacher: it is quite apparent that she believes in the power and message behind what she is teaching. And the classes are a peaceful, meditative respite from my everyday routine. Feldenkrais seems ideal for musicians, performers, dancers, etc. because it of how it gently encourages body awareness." - Jeremy |

"When touching I seek nothing from the person I touch; I only feel what the touched person needs... whether [they] know it or not, and what I can do at that moment to make the person feel better."
