Our commitment to unraveling white supremacy culture
and other forms of hierarchy
Ripple Collective is committed to emergent processes, power-sharing, our ongoing learning process around social/environmental justice, and creating a culture of rest, play, inclusivity, authenticity, and collaboration.
We incorporate practices of collective liberation and dismantling racism into our everyday, relying especially on tools from dRWorks and the Emergent Strategy Series by adrienne maree brown. Our continuing education around social change comes primarily from The Eco-Institute at Pickards Mountain, White Awake, and Natural Curiosity.
We recognize that we are owned and run by European-American teachers, our students are predominantly white, and we are in a county that is 90% white.

The fight against racism is our issue. It’s not something that we’re called on to help People of Color with. We need to become involved with it as if our lives depended on it because really, in truth, they do."
